Florianópolis is located in the subtropical climate zone of the Southern Hemisphere. The seasons here are opposite to the Northern Hemisphere, characterized by mild winters and warm, humid summers.

The hottest and most popular season. Temperatures stay around 25°C – 32°C. The ocean warms up to a comfortable 24°C – 26°C. High humidity brings short, intense tropical showers in the late afternoon.
🍁 Autumn (March – May)
The island's golden season. The intense heat subsides to a comfortable 20°C – 26°C, while the ocean cools slowly and remains swim-friendly (22°C – 24°C). Rainfall drops, winds are light, and skies are mostly crystal clear.
🌬️ Winter (June – August)
Cool and windy season. Temperatures drop to 13°C – 20°C, and can drop to 9°C – 11°C at night. Cold fronts move in from the south (Swell winds). Swimming without a wetsuit is cold (water is around 17°C – 19°C).
🌱 Spring (September – November)
A period of nature's renewal. Temperatures gradually rise from 18°C to 24°C. The ocean is still cool (19°C – 21°C). Winds begin to settle, and the nature explodes with vivid green colors.
